Pokémon GO - Groudon

Pokémon GO is not stopping anytime soon despite the decline in regular players. With the new weather system and the release of 50 new Pokémon, old and new players alike will have a new set of Pokémon to catch, collect, and train.

Pokémon like Treecko, Torchic, and Mudkip, can be now be discovered in Pokémon GO. Although of a different world or planet than the Pokémon series, these new 50 Pokémon are all from the original world that were discovered in its Hoenn region. But it does not end there, additional Hoenn Pokémon will be made available in the coming weeks, according to the game developer Niantic, Inc. and The Pokémon Company International.

Also new in this popular Augmented Reality Game is the weather system. This new feature is based on real-world weather. It means that, if it is raining in your play area, it will also be raining in Pokémon GO. This will add a whole new dynamic in finding Pokémon, for example, a Pokémon that does not like rain will take shelter somewhere, and Pokémon that likes it will appear more frequently. Not only will it affect the location or habitats of the Pokémon but it will also affect their Combat Power and the chance of earning more Stardust after catching a Pokémon.

Ace Trainers can take advantage of their climates to level up their Pokémon GO experience. Trainers can look forward to finding Mudkip splashing when it rains, Cacnea basking in the sun, and Snorunt huddling together in the snow. Certain Pokémon will be more likely to appear in the weather that suits them the most, so Pokémon GO Trainers will be excited to learn more about their local weather patterns and ecology to find these rare Pokémon and make progress on heir Pokédexes. As the seasons change, they’ll encounter different Pokémon, thereby keeping their gameplay experience fresh.

Whether they’re looking for the largest Wailord at a beach, chasing Swablu blowing on the wind, battling alongside their Salamence, or making their Feebas feel beautiful, players will know that as sure as the seasons change, Hoenn Pokémon have arrived. Rainy days just got more interesting for that next outdoor excursion.
