Today, Asiasoft‘s publishing brand, Playpark, has announced the impending closure of Phantasy Star Online 2 SEA (“PSO2-SEA”) after two years of operations.

The Phantasy Star Online 2 team would like to express our thanks for the steadfast support of the whole ARKS Fleet. In the past two years, together, we formed a PSO2 community built on friendships that can withstand the test of time. That is why it saddens us greatly our contract in servicing SEA countries for Phantasy Star Online 2 will not be continued. As our friends and partners, we would like you to have only the finest experience with us.

Phantasy Star Online 2 is a Japanese developed MMORPG based on the popular anime and game series by Sega Games. It is the successor to Phantasy Star Online and Phantasy Star Universe. It is not common to see an English server of highly popular Japanese franchise even with the massive interest by international fans, thus, this announcement will surely be felt by fans and non-fans alike.

The servers will be go offline permanently on the 26th of May 2017 at 23:00 ACT. The PSO2 team prepared their last events and free giveaways until that fateful day. For more information on this, please visit the official announcement page here.
